It seems releasing two big news items in one day is beginning to become a theme in music, and now we can add The Dangerous Summer to the list of those hoping it’s a marketing tactic that works.
Following the announcement of their new album, Golden Record, The Dangerous Summer have released a music video for “Catholic Girls.” The lead single off Record, “Girls” silences all naysayers of the band’s power to grow strong in the face of seemingly ever-present drama with alt rock maturity and grace. The video works as a way to showcase the journey they’ve taken in the process of making the album, with on stage and behind-the-scenes footage from the band’s recent touring efforts compiled together in black and white. You can view the video below.
Golden Record hits stores in August, and if today is any sign it seems we can expect plenty of headlines from The Dangerous Summer in the weeks ahead. Be sure to follow UTG on Twitter for the latest news and information.
