Boston’s pop punk vets A Loss For Words released another new song today, titled “Conquest of Mistakes,” via Rock Sound, and it’s a jam and a half as expected. Featuring The Wonder Years’ lead singer Dan “Soupy” Campbell, “Conquest of Mistakes” showcases A Loss For Words’ signature style, while expanding on a new poppier aesthetic. “Conquest of Mistakes” is still very much a pop-punk song, but the pop influences in the songwriting are definitely shining through in this track.
A Loss For Words are set to release their new record, Before It Caves, on October 8 via Rise Records. If the two songs the band has already released are any indication to the quality of the record, we may have a late contender for one of the best albums of the year.
You can listen to A Loss for Words’ new song “Conquest of Mistakes” after the break, but make sure you let UTG know what you think of it in the comments.
