Jacob Tender Today, That’s Outrageous! founding member and lead vocalist, Tom DeGrazia notified his fans on his Tumblr that he would be parting ways with the band for other endeavors. The timing is quite odd. The band recently signed to Rise Records and have their debut album hitting shelves within a month. Nevertheless, things happen. To explain such things, Tom posted this statement:
DEFINITION OF RISK
1: possibility of loss or injury
Sometimes in life you have to take risks. Some will be worth and some will not. In my lifetime, I’ve taken way too many to remember but it always seems to work out in the end.
Writing this blog entry will be more or less my official statement regarding my (now ex) band “That’s Outrageous!” and myself parting ways.
Of course the obvious and biggest question to be presented is “Why?” There really isn’t a set answer to that question. Why do two members of a marriage get divorced? Is there something deeper under the common answer “it just wasn’t working out”? Of course there is, but explaining it would be impossible.
All I want whoever is reading this to know is that it was probably the best decision to be made. I wish everyone else in the band good luck with their future endeavors whether it be with T.O! or with another band, school, marriage, etc.
As for what’s next with me…I will be re-locating to the West Coast and focusing on writing and producing music for others, as well as releasing new music on my own.
I want to thank anyone and everyone who supported T.O! and myself and continues to do so. They are very hard working guys and deserve the best.
