Alternative Rock outfit, and former radio kings, Matchbox Twenty, have released their music video for their  new single, “She’s So Mean”; their first new song in almost five years. The track comes off of Matchbox Twenty’s forthcoming fourth record, North, which is due out on September 4 via Atlantic Records. You can check out the music video for “She’s So Mean” after the jump.

Matchbox Twenty are attempting their second “comeback” from hiatus. Back in 2007, the platinum-selling quintet were coming off a hiatus that lasted over two years. Subsequently, they released Exile on Mainstream, a greatest hits collection that featured seven new songs. Yet after a tour backing Exile the group fizzled away for several years, never officially going on another hiatus, but not touring full time. All the while, they were relaying to fans that they were working on new materiel (albeit slowly).

Lead singer, Rob Thomas, took the downtime to write and record his second solo album, Cradlesong, which was released in 2009.

This past May the group tweeted that they finally had completed work on their long-awaited fourth album. North is the group’s first official full-length since 2002’s More Than You Think You Are.
