UK popstar Ellie Goulding has released the official video for her latest Halcyon single, “Figure 8.” Fitting the song’s somber tones, the video takes a melancholy approach to storytelling with shots of Ellie lying frustrated in bed, remembering the past and trying to shake thoughts of the way things were. You can view the visuals after the jump.
It really bothers me that Goulding’s biggest impact on American audience is essentially a split between her now defunct relationship with Skrillex and the radio remix of “Lights.” Her talent is boundless, and Hacylon showcased that again and again. Give this single a chance, then buy the album.

Thumbs up. I want all her songs to be heavy on the electronic influence. The Bassnectar remix of “Lights” is the jam. Like a zillion times better than the original.
