STREAM: Daft Punk – “No End” (We Plants Are Happy Plants Remix)

Daft Punk 2013

I think this remix from We Plants Are Happy Plants is really indicative of how desperate The People are for new Daft Punk.

Let me explain. We Plants Are Happy Plants is the handle of Hungarian producer Peter Bergmann. Bergmann, along with an untold number of internet denizens, came across a number of tracks from a set uploaded to YouTube titled “Daft Punk – Real Leak “No End 2013”. Purported to be unreleased tracks from the enigmatic Parisian duo, they were, unfortunately, fakes created by the uploader, user ArtInstitute2011. It’s too bad; the songs, solid productions on their own merits, will likely be blemished by their association with the fabrication.

But since we’re in full blown Daft Punk-amania at the moment, the teasing tracks appear to have inspired Bergmann to take action with the one piece of legitimate new Daft Punk music that is currently out in the URL ether – the 15 second clip that was featured in a commercial played during Saturday Night Live a while back. From that, We Plants Are Happy Plants spun out a remix of the clip, referring to the original clip as “No End”. It’s impressive how far he takes the little bit of source material that he has. Check it out after the jump.

Not satisfied with those 5 minutes of sublimity? Then peep this clip of Ron Swanson from Parks and Recreation jamming out to the new Daft Punk for a solid 10 minutes.

You’re welcome.
