In many cases, bands simply refuse to disclose the reasons for their untimely end. Sometimes it could be because of personal issues, and other times it’s merely for the sake of remaining ambiguous to their followers. But luckily, neither is the case for Atlanta’s The Chariot. You see, Josh Scogin recently spoke with Alternative Press to reveal just why The Chariot have decided to call it a day while also briefly discussing future plans and what makes this soon-to-be deceased Atlanta experimental band so unique.
Remember, the band is going on one final nationwide tour before officially calling it quits. Follow the jump to find tour dates and to read a snippet of the interview.
There’s never a convenient time—well, I guess there is a convenient time, but it’s a place that no artist wants to find themselves. There’s never a convenient time where it’s like, “Oh, there are no tour offers, no tours lined up [and] there’s nobody wanting another record,” you know what I mean? At the end of the day, it just felt like the right time.
We were on Warped Tour having a blast, and we got to discuss some things in the band.
