Metal assault Conducting From The Grave have independently released their self titled album today. Tapping into the crowdfunding trend, CFTG utilized Kickstarter to give fans an essential part of bringing this album to life. With 473 backers they raised $19,423 to fund what is already being hailed the best album ever via Twitter.

The Sacramento based act has been around for about 10 years; releasing their first EP independently, Trials of the Forsaken in 2005, and two full length albums via Sumerian Records, When Legends Become Dust in 2009 and Revenants in 2010. With a focus on retaining all rights to their music and creative control, the band is now moving forward independently with increasing success. Moving further from their original “core” sound, the new release suggests a more visceral beast has surfaced, more technical and distinctly death metal.
