Jack White is still best known for his work with The White Stripes, but he has been a busy man since that group’s breakup in 2011. He is a member of a number of other bands, including The Dead Weather and The Raconteurs, he released his solo debut, Blunderbuss, in 2012, and he runs Third Man Records, a label specializing in vintage reissues, novelty releases, and generally pushing the limits of the vinyl format.
The Dead Weather, which features White on drums and Alison Mosshart of Discount on vocals, announced today that they will be releasing a series of singles through Third Man, leading up to a new album in 2015. A thirty-second clip of the first of these singles, “Open Up (That’s Enough),” is streaming at NME.
