As if the world – or at least, the internet – weren’t already happy enough with Haim and their debut album Days Are Gone, a track from the album’s deluxe edition has surfaced online. The track, “Edge,” has the distinction of being co-written by George Lewis Jr., a.k.a. the 2010’s time-travelling, girlfriend-stealing 80s bad boy, a.k.a. Twin Shadow.

Twin Shadow’s touch, so very 80s, can certainly be felt here. No DeLorean is needed as those synth lines unfurl – though this feels more timeless than George Lewis Jr.’s own work. As always, the world’s favorite sister trio’s vocal interplay is sublime; everything else is ear-pleasing icing on the cake.
