Drake Kicks Future Off Tour; Now He’s Being Sued For $1.5 Million

Drake is currently on the Would You Like A Tour?, in support of his recently released album, Nothing Was The Same. He originally announced that Miguel and Future would embark on the tour with him, however that has since changed. Apparently Future dissed Drake by talking bad about Drake’s new album. According to Billboard, Future said the following: “Drake made an album that is full of hits but it doesn’t grab you. They’re not possessive; they don’t make you feel the way I do.” That understandably upset Drake, so he decided to remove Future from his tour. In response, Future has filed a $1.5 million lawsuit against Drake. This would be the total amount of how much he was expected to be paid for all of the dates he’d miss out on, which is about $40,000 per gig.

Page Six is also reporting that the comment was out of context/off the record and should not have been published. Billboard’s article was edited, however the author’s tweets were never deleted. They’ve also reported that there’s currently negotiations between both artist’s reps to bring Future back on to the tour, though it does not appear that has happened quite yet. We will let you know if there are any updates.
