‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ Trailer Tease; Full Trailer Up Tuesday

I knew the day Instagram introduced video that we would eventually see it used to aide in the promotion of a movie. Marvel tested the waters with The Wolverine over the summer, and now they’ve taken to the Facebook owned photo sharing service once more to tease a first look at X-Men: Days Of Future Past.

What’s that? All the talk of Avengers-related characters made you forget about the time-hopping world of X-Men? Don’t worry, you’re probably not alone. The truth of the matter is, between Marvel’s two big films this year, the ones planned for next year, and all the announcements about possibilities for other features in between, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to keep tabs on all the developments going on at any particular point. There is a new X-Men film on the way however, and on Tuesday we’ll get the first trailer. For now, a clip will have to do.

Days Of Future Past finds the X-Men sending Wolverine to the past to change a major historical event that could globally impact man and mutant kind. We know not what event is being referred to, but early marketing material have revealed a number of possibilities involving various presidents between the 60s and 70s. We get no new answers in the teaser below, but you do get a quick glance at most of the main cast. You can view the clip, which was uploaded by director Bryan Singer earlier today, at the end of this post.

As I mentioned above, the full trailer for X-Men: Days Of Future Past will be revealed this coming Tuesday. The film hits theaters May 23, 2014.
