Kanye West Calls Anti-Semitism Accusation Comments “An Ignorant Compliment”

After words said in a radio interview, Kanye West was accused of anti-Semitism by the Anti-Defamation League. In the interview, Kanye said “Black people don’t have the same level of connections as Jewish people,” which is, as the Anti-Defamation League rightfully said, “classic anti-Semitism” about “the age-old canard that Jews are all-powerful and control the levers of power in government.”

On Wednesday, Kanye went on air at Chicago radio station B96 to respond to these accusations. In Kanye’s eyes, the comment was an “ignorant compliment” that was misinterpreted. “I don’t know how being told that you have money is like an insult,” Kanye said. “That would be like if somebody complimented black guys and said, ‘All black guys have big penises.’ You don’t want to be the black guy who raises his hand and says like, ‘That’s not true. I have proof!’”

We know Kanye is working on a new album for 2014, and he mentioned on air that he is aiming to record with Frank Ocean, the Weeknd, and James Blake.
