UTG PREMIERE: WFFW – “Throwed” (Music Video)

We have been praising the efforts of WFFW since mid-2013, and this afternoon it is our honor to assist the up and coming hip-hop collective with release of their official video for “Throwed.”

You may recall WFFW from our list of 2013 releases you may have missed. That same mixtape is the source of “Throwed,” which finds the various members of WFFW opening up about their love of smoking marijuana and all the good times that come with it. You can view the official video below.

It can be hard to tell if young rap talent has what it takes to rub shoulders with the greats, but having followed WFFW over the last year I have realized they are more than your average wannabe rap superstars. All nine of these young men could have solo careers in rap right now, and I’m willing to wager they would sell more units than some of the names currently flooding the front page of sites like XXL and Hypetrak. These guys are the future of urban music, and 2014 will be the year they take their careers to the next level.

As far as what fans can expect in the near future, WFFW are keeping their plans close to the chest for now, but we have heard rumblings of a new mixtape possibly surfacing sometime in the months ahead. Additionally, we expect a handful of members will follow the path paved by Marco in October and release solo offerings at random points throughout the year. Follow WFFW and UTG on Twitter for updates.
