The Offspring Announce ‘Smash’ 20th Anniversary Tour, Confirm Riot Fest Chicago Appearance

This year marks the 20th anniversary of The Offspring‘s Smash, an album that has sold more than 12 million copies and remains the best selling independent record of all time. The band has already announced a massive vinyl/CD re-issue of the album that will be available in August, but now they’ve also announced the tour we’ve all been waiting for.

The tour will feature The Offspring performing Smash in its entirety, along with some “new and classic songs.” They’ll be joined on the tour by legendary peers Bad Religion and/or Pennywise on all dates, with The Vandals, Stiff Little Fingers and Naked Raygun opening select dates.

The band’s press release also leaked the news they’ll perform on Friday, September 12 in Chicago at a venue TBA. So while the punk rock world anxiously awaits the Chicago Riot Fest lineup announcement, it appears we now have one of the headliners in the bag. Click through for the dates.
