Tame Impala Release New Single “Let It Happen,” Announce Massive U.S. Tour

It has sort of been a given that we’d get a new album from Australian psych-rockers Tame Impala this year since their name started popping up on seemingly every major festival lineup this spring and summer, from Coachella and Sasquatch! to Shaky Knees and Boston Calling. And while the band still hasn’t officially announced the new album’s title or release date, they’ve offered up our first taste of new material in the form of the nearly 8-minute epic, “Let it Happen.”

The sprawling, synth-y track is said to be the first track on the band’s upcoming third LP and follow-up to 2012’s Lonerism, but not necessarily the album’s first official “single.” It’s available for download on the band’s official site.

The band has also announced a slew of new tour dates, including a lengthy U.S. run connecting all of those previously announced festival dates. Check out Tame Impala’s full itinerary below.
