Slipknot has announced the U.S. return of Knotfest, a three-day music and camping festival that will make its home in San Bernardino, CA from October 24-26.
Slipknot will close the festival on both Saturday and Sunday night, while the Friday festivities will serve as a pre-party for attendees who purchase a camping package. Supporting Slipknot will be a massive and impressive lineup of heavy acts, featuring everyone from Danzig, Killswitch Engage and the recently reunited Atreyu to Tech N9ne and death metal legends Carcass. From top to bottom, it’s about as good a mainstream metal/hard rock lineup you’re likely to see in the U.S.
Slipknot launched Knotfest in 2012 as a single-day festival making stops in Iowa and Wisconsin, while it was previously announced the festival would hit Japan this November 15 and 16 with a lineup that will feature Korn, Limp Bizkit and Lamb of God. Slipknot still haven’t announced a replacement for drummer Joey Jordinson, despite Corey Taylor recently proclaiming the new album to be “98 percent” complete. Check out the full Knotfest lineup below. Tickets go on sale Monday morning.
