Producer, electronic musician, and general genius Flying Lotus drops his highly-anticipated new album, You’re Dead!, via Warp Records on October 7. It’s a massive 19-track release that is following up 2012’s brilliant Until The Quiet Comes with a more jazz-oriented setup and guest star studded flair. In anticipation of the release, he’s shared single “Coronus, The Terminator.”
Unlike the rhythmic flurry of “Moment of Hesitation” and the edgy point of Kendrick Lamar collab “Never Catch Me,” this song strolls down the psychedelic route with a leisurely yawn. Things begin to get dark at one point, showing Flying Lotus not only knows how to make a song immediately tasty, but stingy with it’s own unanticipated turns. Check it out below:
