Dustin Kensrue Premieres First Single off of ‘Carry the Fire’

It should go without saying that Dustin Kensrue‘s been the subject of a lot of internet buzz lately. If not for the teased return of Thrice, then for his upcoming solo album, Carry the Fire, which is due for release through Staple Records and Vagrant Records on April 21.

Billboard exclusively shared “Back to Back” earlier today and it has been continually replayed on our laptops ever since. Featuring some of our favorite aspects of 2007’s Please Come Home and 2010’s The Water & the Blood, the song surely reveals a great deal of maturity.

The song can be heard following the jump, alongside a listing of tour dates that Kensrue will be co-headlining with Andy Hull (Manchester Orchestra, Bad Books, Right Away, Great Captain!). An iTunes pre-order for Carry the Fire can be found right here.
