It seems that every few days we get some news about an amazing new superhero movie. During tonight’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon we got our first look at Doctor Strange. After watching the trailer, it seems safe to say Marvel Studios is lined up for another fantastic outing.

The trailer doesn’t show us Benedict Cumberbatch’s Stephen Strange kicking ass with magic, instead focusing on his journey to harness his powers. In fact, we only see a glimpse at the end of Cumberbatch in the iconic garb of Doctor Strange. Alternate dimensions seem to play a major role in the story, which harkens to the “Multiverse” concept the comics use to denote different timelines and universes. It’ll be interesting to see how this idea ties into the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward, and if this will open up the possibility of a Marvel film set in one of these alternate dimensions. Overall, the trailer does a fantastic job of capturing the wonder and spectacle of Doctor Strange, as you can see below.

Doctor Strange stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Mads Mikkelsen, and Rachel McAdams and opens November 4.
