You have to have some serious balls to spit in a bouncer’s face when you’re a tiny British woman. Lady Sovereign has some serious balls. The rapper was arrested in Brisbane, Australia this past weekend after spitting on a bouncer, as Billboard reports.
Sov was charged with assault and spent the night in jail after spitting in a doorman’s face at the Brisbane nightclub The Beat. She was fined $400 Australian and ordered to pay the bouncer $200. Police reported that Sov was “hysterical” after being thrown out of the club.
On her Twitter, Sov questioned why the Brisbane police bothered to arrest her, writing this: “Brisbane police need to go catch some REAL criminals…..what a waste.” Also, this: “spitting in someones face is nasty, but how about a guy dressed up as a girl running at you in the toilets and punching you in the head?” Admittedly, that is worse.
