25 Days Of Metal 2012: #24 Murder Construct – Results

Murder Construct

Rather than counting down the days until we can celebrate Christmas, this year we’re bringing your a series of metal posts will be celebrating the countdown until we don’t have to be inundated with Christmas music and decorations everywhere. To coincide with this countdown We’ll be posting our top 25 metal (and metal-ish) albums of 2012. 25 days of hell, 25 rad metal albums to make up for it.

Number 24 on the list is Murder Construct‘s Results. More or less a supergroup, Murder Construct provide the ever-brutal vocal style of Travis Ryan (also in Cattle Decapitation), the forceful guitarwork of Leon del Muerte (ex-Exumed/Intronaut/Phobia/Impaled), the tight yet spastic drumming of Danny Walker (of Intronaut/Exhumed) as well as Caleb Scneider and Kevin Fetus. After their self-titled EP in 2010, expectations were high for the full length and said expectations were met in every way. Every song on the album is focused and furious, not one of the eleven tracks on Results feel like filler songs or even songs that have an apparent weakness compared to the songs around them. Remarkably cohesive for an all-star cast who don’t tour together very often, Murder Construct has churned out what happens to be a fantastically brutal album that deserves a spot among the year’s heaviest releases.
