Pixies Announce Europe Tour Dates

The Pixies news keeps on rolling out, this time with the first dates of their tour announced. It looks like Europe is first up on their list and the band will be trekking the area from September through the end of November. Black Francis also promises people can expect “songs that we haven’t played in ages or never played live before,” according to Pitchfork.

With Kim Deal’s recent departure from the band, it’s natural to wonder who will fill in for the bassist. Stepping up to bat is the Muffs’ Kim Shattuck (and so one Kim replaces the other). It’s unreported whether Shattuck will be recording with the band.

These tour dates are announced right after the release of their new song, “Bagboy.” It’s the first new music the band has shared in nine years and already has an accompanying music video. If you have yet to hear it (or download it for free), do so here.
