Earlier in the week, Queen guitarist Brian May sent shockwaves across the interwebs with the news that some duets featuring Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson would surface at some point this year.
Well, friends, I am pleased to say that that day has come. You can stream “There Must Be More To Life Than This” and “State of Shock” after the jump.
Notably, there seems to have been some confusion in regards to the release of these songs, as both tunes have actually been floating around the internet for a number of years. Regardless, these tracks are still worth their weight in gold, as they are literally all that remains from the duo’s only studio session together, which took place in 1983.
May additionally went on to hint that there will be “something for folks to hear” in the coming months. Though we cannot be sure as to what he is referring to, you can bet that UTG will keep you posted every step of the way. In the meantime, enjoy these throwbacks from two of the greatest musicians (and vocalists) that have ever lived.
