American noise pop duo Sleigh Bells announced a few weeks ago that their new album, Bitter Rivals, will be out in October. They released the title track off the album, and now Derek Miller and Alexis Krauss are getting straight to the chase with follow-up single, “You Don’t Get Me Twice.”
“You Don’t Get Me Twice” has several lines about how terrifying the American dream is, shouted over hand-clap-stomp combos and a call-and-response between acoustic and heavy electric guitar. Krauss promised the new album would be cleaner, and all signs point to this so far.
Bitter Rivals comes out October 8 through Mom + Pop Music. All ten tracks were produced by guitarist Derek Miller and mixed by Andrew Dawson (Yeezus, Wolf, Watch the Throne). Preorder the album here and give the song a listen below.
