BUMMER: The Red Chord Are In A State Of ‘Limbo’

Today has been a pretty wild day for our metal readers. First there was the rumor that Suicide Silence have replaced fallen frontman Mitch Lucker, and now thanks to Facebook we have reason to be concerned about the future of The Red Chord.

Fans of hard rock have likely noticed the prolonged absence of The Red Chord from the music scene. Since vocalist Guy Kozowyk was sworn in as a police officer in the state of New Hampshire back in April the band has essentially been silent as far as updates, plans, and touring is concerned. We tried to reach out for news on the group’s activity and never heard back, but this morning guitarist Mike “Gunface” McKenzie broke his silence about the band’s current status via Facebook. He wrote:

I know some of you are waiting for The Red Chord to reappear again. Well you may be waiting a while, as the band is in a state of limbo right now, and not because of Guy’s new job,but we do have some things on the horizon that aren’t that far off. In the meantime, come see Stomach Earth at the Acheron in Brooklyn on 10/18. We are being joined by guitar wizard, Tony Sannicandro.

As far as we know the other members of The Red Chord have yet to comment on McKenzie’s remarks. We’ll bring you more information as it becomes available.
