Mansions Debuts “Flowers In My Teeth,” Offers Free Mp3

“Holy shit. Mansions are being featured on Rolling Stone today! Bout time.” – Overheard at UTG HQ this morning

Prepping for the release of Doom Loop, Mansions has released a free Mp3 of a new song titled “Flowers In My Teeth” exclusively through Rolling Stone Magazine. The song is fuzz-heavy rock jam that’s highlighted by Christopher Browder’s signature (seemingly apathetic) vocals. You can stream the song at the end of this post.

Speaking to RS about the track, Browder offered:

“’Flowers In My Teeth’ is probably the closest I’ll ever come to writing a song about being happy and having fun. It was the last song written for the record, which meant we were up for anything. Whisper vocals, bonehead synth bass, and a nature sound breakdown suddenly felt like good ideas. All that weirdness somehow led to it being my favorite song on the record.”

Doom Loop hits stores November 12. Another new song, “Climbers,” can be streamed via Spin.
