We wrote to you earlier this year about up and coming hip hop collective WFFW, and this week one of their finest debuted his first solo music video.
Marco may barely be old enough to drive, but he’s already got a sense for wordplay and flow that should put many of his peers on high alert. His first solo track, “Groupies,” dropped back in July and now finds new life thanks to a slick music video. The clip opens with Marco’s friends stealing a car and builds into a nice performance-meets-storyline piece littered with appearances from other WFFW members. You can view the video at the end of this post.
“Groupies” is admittedly not likely to be your favorite track of the year, but it showcases a young artist with undeniable talent who is going to do big things in the years to come. As far as we know Marco has no mixtape due anytime soon, but as soon as he announces something new we’ll be sure to bring it to you.
