The Killers Pay Tribute To Lou Reed

The band covered a song in honor of the late Velvet Underground singer at a homecoming show in Las Vegas at Life Is Beautiful Festival on October 27.

Killers vocalist Brandon Flowers addressed the audience saying that Reed was a direct inspiration for the song “All These Things That I’ve Done.”  The band played a cover of The Velvet Underground’s “Pale Blue Eyes” as a tribute to Reed.

In 2007, Lou Reed collaborated with The Killers on the track “Tranquilize,” which appeared on the compilation album, Sawdust.
