Florida’s Kal Duzay has quickly become the ‘need-to-know’ young rap hero on the rise over the last few months, and today UTG is excited to do our part in furthering his exposure by premiering the official video for “The Likk.”

Taken from Duzay’s recently released mixtape, Diamond Scarz, “The Likk” features Audio Dope production and some of the best bars you’ve heard since summer. The laid back beat provides Duzay with ample room to showcase his lyrical talents, which more than likely put your favorite buzzworthy emcee to shame, and somewhere along the line dips into a groove that brings to mind the height of West Coast rap in the mid ’90s. Add a hook that is nearly as hypnotic as the music that accompanies it and you have the makings of rap’s next superstar.

The video, presented by Upper 11 Productions, splices perfectly lit performance footage into a story about an afternoon robbery that goes somewhat sensually awry. The visuals play like something from a movie, and though the plot may be a bit odd it works well with the atmosphere set by the track. Duzay has a delivery that’s welcoming yet ferocious, and in a similar sense, the video does a great job of keeping you unaware of what will happen next. You can view the clip below:
