New ‘Days of Future Past’ Photo Showcases Quicksilver, Xavier On Two Feet

In the coming years we will have not one, but two different versions of Quicksilver in theaters. One for the upcoming mutant time-travel adventure, Days of Future Past, as well as an iteration in The Avengers: Age Of Ultron (though don’t call him a mutant in that one, Fox’s film rights prohibits the use of the word “mutant” in marvel films).

But, with all the news flowing around the speedster, we have yet to see what either incarnation will look like, until today that is. In a new photo, we get a glimpse at the X-Men version of the character. Played by American Horror Story‘s Evan Peter’s, we really see the character embodying his silver roots.

Follow us after the jump to take a better look at the photo, as well as more information on Xavier walking!

But, what I find most interesting about the photo, is that we also see Xavier walking! If you remember back to First Class, you know that by the end, Xavier was already in the chair. Now I know that the linear canon of the X-Men films have been far from stellar, but I do not think that this is something Singer and company would choose to ignore. There is something at play that has given Xavier the means to walk again, and I cannot wait to find out. One of my few gripes with First Class was that they did in fact put Xavier in the chair by the end of the film. Slow down dudes, you got plenty of time for that. If you do look closely, it seems that Xavier isn’t the most balanced in the photo. Maybe he has retained some feeling in his legs? Something that slowly deteriorates? Either way, we will have to wait to find out.

What do you guys think? How do you think Quicksilver looks? He surely fits the time period, though I am far too curious as to how Xavier is walking to focus on anything else right now.

Remember, Quicksilver is behind Magneto.

I read another suggestion that this scene takes place before Xavier is shot. This would explain why there are also shots with a non-blue Hank McCoy.
