Starting off her career as an internet-centered enigma within the rap blog community known as Kitty Pryde, Kitty has not only dropped half of her name over time, but she has managed to completely shift both her image and sound as well. With “285,” the second self-leaked track from her forthcoming full-length, flowerviolence, the notion of Kitty’s transition into a completely different style is at its most apparent yet. With a highly atmospheric beat that eventually dives into grittier territory during the track’s final stretch, Kitty fluidly transitions between fast-paced spitting on verses and displaying her vocal chops on a gorgeous chorus that will be stuck in listeners’ heads for days.
Follow the jump to give “285” a listen and be sure to look out for more updates on all things flowerviolence-related in the future from UTG as they are announced.
