Stream Lykke Li’s New Single, “Gunshot”

Indie songstress Lykke Li has released her third single, “Gunshot,” off her upcoming third studio album today. The single takes more of a sodden pop route, tracing heartbroken lyrics out in a pretty produced, anthemic piece of sweeping vocals and sturdy guitar work. All in all, it sounds in line with her other work while ditching some of the old hooks.

The album, titled I Never Learn, is slated to come out May 5 via LL/Atlantic Records. So far we’ve also heard “Love Me Like I’m Not Made of Stone” and “No Rest For The Wicked” (the latter of which has a bummer of a music video), both of which cover her spectrum of sounds. Looks like we can expect another solid LP from the Swedish singer.
