Two weeks ago, Banks shared a new track titled “Drowning” off her upcoming album, GODDESS, out September 9. Now, just a short while later, she’s shared the music video for that same track, and it’s as dark as the song hints.

The industrial back beats push against the intimate vocals in the song, and in the video it pushes her performance even farther, too. Directed by i-D and Mike Piscitelli, the video shows the LA singer-songwriter trapped in a mirrored room with flashing lights, numerous outfits, and her own sultry voice. The only thing that could enhance this song even more is seeing it live on tour.
