It’s a sad morning for the punk rock history books — Tommy Ramone, last surviving original member of the Ramones, has been found dead.
The Ramones, known as one of the many acts that pioneered punk rock music across the globe, will now live on only in the history books. An official statement on the band’s Twitter page said “We are saddened to announce the passing of Ramones founding drummer, Tommy (Erdelyi) Ramone. #RIPTommy Ramone.”
Ramone died Friday and details of the death are yet to surface. Be sure to check back in with UTG as more details come to light.
