Ladies and gentlemen, prepare to feel your hearts melt.
Following the release of the solo mix for “Too Much” last week, fast-rising crooner Sampha has debuted a new b-side titled “Happens.” The song, which serves as the second song on Sampha’s upcoming 7″, offers another piano-lead ballad about heartache and mistrust that is bound to leave you a bit teary eyed (in the best way possible). You can stream the song via a video awfully similar to the clip for “Too Much” at the end of this post.
Through lines about love and longing Sampha uses “Happens” to offer listeners another piece of his apparently broken heart. It’s a far more emotionally in depth track than “Too Much,” but the inherent catchiness of the whole downtrodden affair is as infectious as ever. Comment below and let us know what you think of Sampha’s latest.
The aforementioned vinyl release will not arrive on shelves until January, so it’ll be curious to see what Sampha has to offer in the weeks ahead. Stay tuned to UTG for updates.
