On August 5, Naomi Punk will release their sophomore full-length, Television Man, and the Olympia trio are streaming the record in its entirety over at Pitchfork Advance in anticipation of that date. If you catch them on one of the opening tour dates this weekend, however, you’ll get to hear the tracks live where they take on an even more raw, gritty sound.
Television Man sees the punk rockers bringing a DIY style back to the noisy rock and distant lyrics to cathartic levels. With standout tracks like the bitter “Eleven Inches” and instrumental masterpiece “Eon of Pain,” there’s no denying Naomi Punk have written each song with a fierce determination and angered fuel. Recorded at home in Olympia, the record was mastered by Rick Fisher at RFI to carry the darkness of winter. While you’re listening to the album, keep in mind that Naomi Punk will also release a special lavender vinyl of the record which can be pre-ordered here.
Stream the album over at Pitchfork Advance.
