Coliseum Announce New Album ‘Anxiety’s Kiss,’ Release First Single “We Are The Water”

Louisville punks Coliseum will release their fifth full-length album Anxiety’s Kiss on May 5 through Deathwish Inc. The band announced their return by unleashing the music video for the album’s first single, “We Are The Water,” via Spin.

“We Are The Water” is a change-up from the band’s usual bulldozing Motörheadian blend of punk and metal. The track surprisingly comes out of the gates with a melodic synth lead and proceeds to take on more of an ’80s-inspired post-punk groove. Anxiety’s Kiss sees the band working with producer J. Robbins for the third consecutive album, while it’s their first LP recorded for Deathwish since signing with the label last year to collaborate on a deluxe reissue of their 2004 self-titled debut LP.
