Repping The Sunshine State’s Capital–
Tallahassee’s Double D from U & I Entertainment To Release His Anticipated Sophomore SetWhat do folks like T-Pain, George Clinton, Famous Amos and Steven Tyler of Aerosmith have in common with hip-hop musician Double D? They all hail from Florida’s capital city, Tallahassee. It must be in the water in that Southern city, that drive to succeed and stop at nothing before reaching success. Double D is a self-taught one stop shop of hip-hop. A member of the U & I Entertainment crew, along with DJ TD, Ron Doe and P.C., Double D has become a local legend as a multi-talented rapper/producer/engineer/songwriter.
He currently has a new mixtape in the streets and on I-Tunes, called “Trapaganza,” with ringtones on MySpace(www.myspace.com/doubled850) for the title track and “Fast Car,” “Yes Sir” and “Spotlight.” U & I Entertainment member DJ TD hosts the “Trapaganza” mixtape. And for the uninitiated, “Trapaganza” deals with “getting it by any means.” After honing his craft in home-based studio in a tin shed in his parents backyard, the young Double D emerged making beats, recording, mixing, writing, rapping and singing. Though that studio had only a mic and a keyboard, Double D created his own mixtapes and sold them at school. Then, he was a founding member of Tha Infantry, along with his U & I Entertainment partners. The rest is Sunshine state history with the best being yet to come.
With his confident style and distinctive swagger, Double D has ably completed his lab work and created what will undoubtedly become a 2009 classic, with the release of “Born Ruler.”
