Major League Begin Work On New Record With Will Yip

It will take much more than a lineup change to stop Major League. The New Jersey pop punk band parted ways with longtime vocalist Nick Trask earlier this year, but they have already completed their first tour with guitarist Brian Joyce in his new role as frontman, and now they are diving into their next record. The group is in the process of recording their second No Sleep Records release at Conshohocken, Pennsylvania’s Studio 4 with producer Will Yip, who has become a household name over the past few years for his work with Balance and Composure, Polar Bear Club, and many more artists.

Anyone worried about how the lineup change will affect the band’s sound need look no further than a recent performance of “Homewrecker,” which can be seen after the break. Joyce’s voice has rougher and more punk rock tone than Trask’s, but the spirit of song remains fully intact.

After the new LP is finished, Major League will be heading overseas to support I Am the Avalanche on a short UK tour. Check out the full list of dates right here.
