It Dies Today Release New Song, Announce ‘The Caitiff Choir’ Anniversary Shows

It Dies Today’s debut album The Caitiff Choir was one of the most popular metalcore albums released during the genre’s mid-2000s heyday, landing the band on the second stage of Ozzfest 2005 alongside the likes of Killswitch Engage and As I Lay Dying. But original vocalist Nick Brooks left the band shortly after the release of the band’s follow-up record, Sirens, and like many of the era’s like-minded groups, It Dies Today quickly dissipated.

Well, Brooks is now back in the fold, and the band has offered up the first song from their new record. The track is called “Son of Dawn, Brilliant Star” and can be streamed below. Moreover, the band will tour in September to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of The Caitiff Choir. They’ve only confirmed this short run of Northeast shows so far, with more dates TBA.
