Ever since UK singer-songwriter Charli XCX first hit the radio airwaves as a featured singer on Icona Pop’s “I Love It” and Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy,” she’s been steadily rising. Her new single “Boom Clap” just peaked at #14 on the Hot 100 chart, making it her biggest hit as a solo artist to date, and she’s releasing a remix EP for the track shortly after sharing the song’s entertaining music video.
Charli XCX has slowly been sharing remixes of her The Fault in Our Stars soundtrack contribution, but now we get to stream the collection in full. Each of the five remixes takes on its own flavor, like the trippy, elongated version by Punk Party that sees her original rhythms more emphasized. If all goes as planned, “Boom Clap” will appear on her sophomore album when it supposedly drops before the end of the year. If not, you can always hear her sing it live on her North American tour.
