Faith No More has made their new single “Superhero” available for streaming, after appropriately debuting the track on Marvel.com. The site also features a lengthy comic-centric interview with bassist Bill Gould.
“Superhero” is the lead single from the band’s much anticipated album Sol Invictus. The single will be released as a 7-inch on March 17 and digitally on March 31, while Sol Invictus will hit stores on May 19. In case you missed it, the band also announced a massive world tour to accompany their return. Head over to fnm.com for the dates and info.
Unlike “Motherfucker,” the track the band released back in November that felt more like a teaser than an appropriate single, “Superhero” sounds like a classic Faith No More track and a proper introduction to the eclectic metal band’s first album in 18 years. Showcasing nearly all of Mike Patton’s broad vocal spectrum, “Superhero” is a track that only Faith No More could produce, regardless of the decade and how much the heavy music landscape has changed during the time Faith No More has been away.
