Another rapper laid to rest today, KL of Screwball…just over a week since we lost Dolla. Similiar to some of the greats we have lost in the past in the hip-hop game, KL was a verteran and a crucial part to many other rappers’ careers. Cormega, one of his dearest friends, had this to say:
“It is with deepest regret that I inform you of the death of one of my truest friends KL of Screwball RIP
he was supposed to perform with me on April 2 at the Knitting factory we were very excited so Imma still do what we wouldve done my my boy”

Also, this was reported:
Hip-hop veteran KL from rap group Screwball has died after suffering an asthma attack.
The H-O-S-T-Y-L-E hitmaker – real name Kenny Lou – passed away on March 28th following complications from the respiratory condition.
Lou, known for his aggressive rhyming style, worked with some of hip-hop’s top producers as part of Screwball, including Pete Rock and Marley Marl.
Most recently, he appeared on Molemen’s 2006 album Killing Fields on the song Street Conflict, alongside rapper Cormega.
