UK program Later… with Jools Holland kicked off its 43rd season with Kanye West last week, and they’ve returned this week with another great lineup. Both the Pixies and Janelle Monáe came onstage to perform new material. Watch their performances below after the jump.
Both artists played material off of their new releases. Monáe performed “Q.U.E.E.N.”, the lead single off her excellent new album, The Electric Lady, with the excitement and vigor you can expect at this point from the energized singer. Pixies played “What Goes Boom” off of their new EP-1, smashing every note with the gritty force of not enough amps behind them.
