Kanye West and Jimmy Kimmel have had a large on going feud where both sides seemed a tad out of place. Kimmel mocked West’s interview with the BBC, using children to quote West in an attempt to mock him. West responded with over the top angry Twitter rants that were unwitty and petty. The two were accused of it being a publicity stunt, but it appears that this was not the case.
Last night, Kanye West had a lengthy appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. As such, it makes for a compelling interview, with West explaining his reaction as overcompensation for the silence he has had to live with as a celebrity, and Kimmel explaining why he did the joke and how it wasn’t as terrible as made out to be. Both sides seem more understanding than usual, and if you follow any of what happened, it’s must see television. (My favorite part? Kimmel asking if he really looks like Spongebob, and West saying “It’s the first thing that comes to mind.“)
Stick around after the break to watch the full interview.
