As if you needed another reason to be excited for the return of Childish Gambino, a new song has found its way online that is guaranteed to make you smile.

You never know what to expect from Childish Gambino – aka Donald Glover – and on “3005” the emcee again surprises us by offering a complex lyrical platter touching on everything from fame and love, to realizing you’ve lost faith in the world around. It’s as honest as everything he’s ever laid to digital tape, and it’s accompanied by spot-on instrumentation that enhances the impact of the verses. You can stream the track at the end of this post.

You may have missed it, but yesterday we debuted an exclusive live video featuring Childish performing another new song in Ohio over the weekend.
