Excuse me?

Apparently, drummer Kevin Fennell, from Guided By Voices, has been relieved of his drumming duties after attempting to sell his drum kit on eBay for a modest $55,000. With the bidding war ready to begin, Fennell even offered to deliver the kit to the buyer himself, with the hopes of a possible jam session. Said bidding war ending yesterday with zero bids placed.

The band has expressed distaste towards Fennel’s extracurricular activities, leading to their decision to kick him out of the band. Frontman Robert Pollard’s management team released this statement, in response to Fennell’s recent eBay activity: “For the record, the band Guided By Voices has nothing to do with the sale of Kevin Fennell’s drums. He is acting on his own and is no longer in the band.”

Maybe if he brought the price down to $45,000?
