Thanks to our good friends over at Spin.com, you can stream Caspian’s upcoming EP, Hymn for the Greatest Generation, in full, here.
The five song collection, due out less than a week from today (November 11) via Triple Crown Records, will feature three new tracks, two remixes featuring samples from 2012’s Waking Season, and a demo version of the haunting “High Lonesome,” yet another tune off the group’s most recent full-length. Additionally, this EP will also be the first new material the group will have released since the unexpected passing of their former bassist, Chris Friedrich, back in August.
“Hymn for the Greatest Generation is, in many ways, an epilogue to the story that Waking Season presented a year ago; a companion piece that functions as both a final word and a re-affirmation of purpose for the music of Caspian,” commented guitarist Phil Jamieson.
If you like what you hear, you can catch these prog-rock trendsetters as they tour throughout November in support of the release. From all indications, this may be the last time Caspian will be on the road for the remainder of the year, so hurry over to their official website to check out a full list of tour dates.
