With all the legal trouble facing Tim Lambesis as of late, you may have forgotten that a fan-funded Austrian Death Machine album was in the works when the singer/multi-instrumentalist was arrested for plotting to kill his wife in the fall of 2013. The album has since been completed, and with the help of the Artery Foundation will now see an international release at the beginning of April.

Today, a new song titled “Prepare To Be Conquered” found its way online. It’s a riff-heavy, scream-heavy track that fits perfectly in the Austrian Death Machine catalog. There’s even a little bit of humor sprinkled in for fun. You can stream the song below.

I would be lying if I said I could listen to anything Tim Lambesis has worked on and not think about his attempts to have his wife killed, and that goes double for material that someone wants me to considering buying. There is a lot of fun in the work of Austrian Death Machine, but something feels different these days. Maybe it’s just me.
